Abortion is easy, over in five minutes. You’ll feel such a sense of relief. It’s not even a baby. No need to worry about mental affects.
Those are some of the many lies Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers tell women who are considering abortion.
But abortion is a big deal. It’s the intentional killing of an unborn baby and for good reason, women who have had abortions are at a higher risk of experiencing clinical depression. Search online for “abortion and depression” or any combination of mental health repercussions and read stories of women who have suffered the consequences of abortion. Here is one story:
I was in college and my boyfriend left me and my mother wouldn’t help me. I felt I didn’t have any other choice.
[The It was the most painful, most sad time in my life. I still grieve and it’s been over 10 years. My mother still hasn’t forgiven me. My father died when I was 14 and my abortion wabortion] was very painful (I did not have anesthesia). The nurse held my hand and the doctor said, “Oh, it doesn’t hurt that much” (male doctor). One week later I bled through my clothes down my legs — still, I didn’t seek help because I was scared and embarrassed.as as painful as that experience.
I started with ABBA. I hope someday I can help another young girl to save her baby.
I now have 3 beautiful boys. It makes me sad to think I could have had a child that was 11 years old right now. I always have this urge to have another child – maybe to replace the one that’s gone.
Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty declared April “Abortion Recovery Month” at the request of the post-abortion healing group Silent No More. Planned Parenthood and NARAL said that the Governor is pandering to anti-choice groups. Go ahead and tell that to the women who are in desperate need of healing from the abortions sold to them through Planned Parenthood.
The Catholic Church has made a great effort to help women (and men) who seek healing from abortion. Project Rachel offers retreats, counseling, prayers and hope to women who have been harmed by abortion. More information can be found here http://hopeafterabortion.com/.
One particularly powerful witness that us SMS editors have heard about the effects of abortion is actually from a man. Jason Jones, now the president of I Am Whole Life, got his high school girlfriend pregnant and then went into the military in order to support his new growing family. What happened next will break your heart:
