A few months ago we reported on billboards that were placed all around Georgia that revealed that a disproportionate amount of abortions were taking place in the African-American communities than in other communities. The numbers are high – “in the US, nearly 40% of the abortions done are on black women, even though they only make 13% of the population. That is 3x the rate of white women. Since 1973, abortion has killed more African-Americans than anything else.”
The same group who did the first billboard, “Endangered Species,” just started a new campaign along the same lines entitled “Black & Unwanted,” which features a black child with a tear in his eye.
Talk about hard hitting. The billboards are sponsored by Georgia Right to Life and the Radiance Foundation. You can go http://www.toomanyaborted.com/ for more info.
The first billboard campaign was wildly successful – it was featured on CNN and was written in up in many media outlets across the country. No wonder. It really struck a cord and shed light on a dirty secret of the abortion industry that has been buried for years and years. A huge number – over 60% – of abortion clinics are placed in African-American neighborhoods. The new Houston mega-abortion Planned Parenthood clinic is smack in the middle of more than one minority neighborhood.
Let’s help get these billboards noticed!
